31 May 2017, Berlin, Germany: World Council of Churches deputy general secretary Fr Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca spoke during the closing ceremony of the Global Ecumenical Theological Institute 2017 (GETI'17), in Berlin, Germany. As a token of gratitude Sauca received a blue GETI umbrella from the organizers, decorated with the faces of all GETI participants, to be brough to the subsequent World Council of Churches GETI 2018, in Arusha, Tanzania. Meeting on 19 May - 1 June 2017, the Global Ecumenical Theological Institute 2017 (GETI'17) gathers young Christian theologians from Europe and around the world to study and experience horizons of an ecumenical theology and ecclesiology. GETI’17 is organized under the patronage of the Conference of European Churches, and works under three key themes: Reforming Theology, Migrating Church, and Transforming Society.
