Building on relationships that had been developed through the bilateral dialogue relationship of the WCC and Iran Centre for interreligious Dialogue, Dr Mohammed Shomali, head of the Shia Muslim seminary in the United Kingdom, brought a group of 22 younger Shia scholars and students to spend four days at the Ecumenical institute at Bossey to learn more about Christianity. The Interreligious Dialogue programme of the WCC and the Ecumenical Institute collaborated to offer a packed programme for the group.
