Bernardo Anastasio Hernández, a cattle farmer, walks on the dry river bed of the RÃo Grande at San Francisco Libre. Drought is affecting large areas of Central America. Across Nicaragua hundreds of cattle are dying, wells are drying up and the harvests have failed. Organisations related to the World Council of Churches such as CEPAD in Nicaragua work with communities affected by climate change.
