The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.
For Advent, a parish member has created an illustration of Isaiah's prophecy with a world map on which she adds daily a candle flame painted with fluorescent wax that glows in the night to signify God's presence among those who suffer.
