A public witness of solidarity event was organized by Ecumenical Women during the 61st Session of the Commission on the Status of Women on
Wednesday, March 15th 2017, at the Tillman Chapel, Church Center for the U.N.
During the 61st session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW61), this public witness, led by Ecumenical Women at the UN, will galvanize the faith communities, the United Nations and its agencies, along with civil society to come together in an act of solidarity and shared commitment, to take up SDG#5 - to put our faith in action to end gender based violence in our lifetime. This momentous coming together of communities and organizations, including by standing together with linked arms, will commence in Tillman Chapel. We will bear witness to the sacred worth of women and girls and then continue in public witness onto First Avenue as we emphasize the urgency of our work together.
Co-organized by: Ecumenical Women at the United Nations
