Six-years-old Herbert Wing of New York presents a copy of the Gospel of St. John to Charles P. Taft, president of the Federal Council of Churches, as Dr. Reinhold Niebuhr and Dr. Henry P. van Dusen, both of Union Theological Seminary, look on. Presentation took place on the Queen Elizabeth before 100 church leaders who sailed for Amsterdam and the first Assembly of the World Council of Churches. New York youngsters donated 10'000 copies of the Gospel for distribution among Dutch Sunday School children. 1948
