World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary, Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, (left) met with HE Rigmor Aasrud,(right) Norway Minister of Government Administration, Reform & Church Affairs, at the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva on 24 February 2011 to provide background on the work of the WCC.
The two, along with Aasrud's delegation, met with WCC staff who presented background on WCC programme with Indigenous Peoples, minorities, health and healing, the Middle East, inter-religious relations and just and inclusive communities.
Aasrud was at the Ecumenical Centre on a two-day visit and also met with the Lutheran World Federation, Conference of European Churches, the Norwegian Church Community in Geneva and the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey. Aasrud's delegation included her political and senior advisors, her director general and head of communication.
