The main decoration of the hall is a huge tapestry designed by the Swedish artist Einar Forseth and woven in Aubusson, France. The theme is God’s covenant with the world. Jesus Christ is at the centre of the tapestry under a vast rainbow, stretching his arms towards the many churches of various traditions and regions which form part of the worldwide ecumenical fellowship. The Greek text on the tapestry is the prayer of Jesus “that all may be oneâ€.
