Members of a German Buddhist Community lead a short meditation at the start of the Multifaith Sustainable Living Initiative in Bonn.
Ecumenical groups including the World of Churches, the Lutheran World Federation and ACT Alliance joined with people of other faith traditions including Catholics, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists in a meeting of the Multifaith Sustainable Living Initiative. The many faith groups present at the United Nations climate change conference COP23 in Bonn are united in calling for urgent global political decision to stop climate change. They also come together to promote worldwide action on a community-level to reduce emissions, and to find ways to mitigate the devastating impact of climate change. Sustainable living and climate justice are ways forward to bring climate change under control.
